You might be wondering that why this blogger has shown interest in the 'teeth'. I am one of the nail biters who accidentally end up by biting the tongue. I am so much a friend of chilly that anger rests on my nose. I am sure one day I might lose my teeth. So digging the news and records on 'teeth' so that I can have good knowledge of dentures and dental implants :)
Anyway my series are in no way a historias de mexico aka stories from Mexico. Nor it has nothing to do with the latest developments in dental science from north or South Carolina. I am just willing to share my dental research (out of curiosity no academic necessity) in web and the dentures information to others who are interested in the subject.
It is just a series of independent blogs on different kinds of dentures that gives you a picture of the various aspects of our teeth that we naturally tend to ignore. This is mainly targeted at common people, general readers.
Well coming to our topic, we learnt about the partial and complete replacement of the teeth with the dentures. Let us throw some light on the Valplast Dentures. It is the most recent advancement with respect to the material in the fabrication of dental appliances.
Valplast is the name of the brand that is associated with nylon-like material with which the dentures are made. This material generally replaces the metal and the pink acrylic denture material that is used to build the framework for standard removable partial dentures. ValPlast is almost unbreakable. It is pink in color like the gums.
The specialty of valplast is it can be made as thin as possible. It can formed as the clasps as well in addition to the denture base. Clasps are built to curl around the necks of the teeth. Since the valplasts are in pink color, we cannot notice the difference and we assume it for the gums that normally surround the teeth.
Valplast dentures are extremely stable and retentive. The elasticity of the flexible plastic clasps keeps them stable.
Valplast is great for parial dentures. Of course one should make dentures at least 4 weeks after extractions. Good quality valplast is much more comfortable than any conventional acrilyc dentures.
Let us discuss something about artificial teeth now. Sometimes we may require a complete set of artificial teeth. The artificial teeth are placed into the jaw to hold an individual crown or bridge of the teeth. Dental implants are implanted directly into the jaw. They do not rely on neighboring teeth for support.
